The Chapel of our new community of Santa Teresa Benedita da Cruz, Comoro, was blessed by Fr roque Soares da Cruz (Provincial Delegate) on 9 May.
Members of the community were joined by Carmelites from nearby Fatuhada community and Carmelite laymen and alumni who had contributed their skills to the completion of the renovation of the chapel.
The simple prayer of blessing asked that the Chapel ‘becomes a place of proclamation of the word of God, so that the love of Christ continues to live among the people’.
“We dedicate this chapel to the protection of the Virgin of Carmel, the inspiration of the Carmelites and to St Teresa Benedita of the Cross as the guardian of this community, to protect and care for us, so that we may live in unity and love according to Carmelite Spirituality,” Fr Roque prayed.
